High Sierra Explorer 55 Frame Pack

Go higher and farther than ever before with the High Sierra Explorer 55 internal frame backpack. Lightweight, rugged, and roomy, the Explorer 55 boasts such storage options as a top-loading 55-liter main compartment with a gusseted drawstring closure, a front-loading sleeping bag compartment with a divider, and soft lashing hardware for holding an ice axe or hiking poles. As a result, you have plenty of room for your clothes and hiking gear whether you're spending a week in the woods or a day on the peaks. The pack is also comfortable and supportive thanks to the Ergo-Fit shoulder harness (with adjustable load-lifters) and the molded foam back panel, which offers mesh Airflow channels to keep your back cool and dry. And to keep you feeling fresh on the trail, the pack offers an internal hydration reservoir sleeve and dual exit ports for the tube (the reservoir isn't included).

The Explorer 55 also offers a number of other load-supporting features, including dual contoured aluminum frame bars that can be adjusted to fit the shape of your back, an adjustable sternum strap that stabilizes the pack, and adjustable bottom compression straps. Other details include a front flap with adjustable straps for holding extra gear; an adjustable top lid; a removable media pocket attached to the backpack strap; webbing daisy chain on both sides; dual mesh pockets for water bottles; and a tuck-away rain cover that stores in a bottom pocket.
