Along with the bottle pockets on each side and kangaroo pocket on the front, which is great for keeping your jacket or fleece without taking up extra space in your pack, you can also find a hydration pocket and port, rugged zippers on the lower door, and an internal zip-out divider that gives you the option to divide your pack for the best storage utilization. The SoftEdge shoulder straps have two layers of foam to give you maximum comfort. The modular waist belts have three layers of foam (a stiff outer layer, a firm middle layer, and a soft inner layer) for maximum load carrying capabilities combined with the ultimate in comfort. The top of the Red Tail extends with a spindrift collar, so you can pack more. The top pocket adjusts up and down to keep it in the correct position and we've included an Over the Top compression strap to stabilize your extra gear. What's more, the top pocket converts to a fanny pack and the pack comes with a rain cover.
