Product Description
Air mesh go walk 4 slip on. To maintain the quality of your purchase of our shoes, we do not recommend machine washing. We suggest the following steps for any minor cleaning to our shoes:1. Remove excess dirt from the upper and outsole by using a small brush or towel. 2. Create a soapy mixture by combining warm water and a small amount (a few drops) laundry detergent. 3. Dip the brush or cloth into the soapy mixture. Wipe down the affected area. Apply a small amount of clean, warm water with the brush or cloth and brush/wipe off the excess soap. 4. Allow shoes to air dry.

I wear an 8.5D very comfortably in most shoes and that was the case with the Go Walk 2. The narrower toe design of the Go Walk 4 absolutely required that I order a 9D for this shoe. Lots of people here have mentioned this issue and it is the very reason that Amazon will suggest a larger size before checking out. Even with a 9D, my toes are right at the inside front end of the Go Walk 4. Going to an even larger size would present too much heel slippage, so the 9D is as far as I can go. I am liking the "sole" design of the Go Walk 4 without all those grippy knobs that plagued the previous designs.
My concern is that Sketchers is losing their perspective of just how comfortable a wider toe area is (Go Walk 2, etc) versus the narrower design they chose for the Go Walk 4. That was a strange departure that has produced an oft reported fit-issue with this new design. This could be my last pair of Sketchers and I'm certainly not buying more for right now. That is actually a shame because Sketchers slip-ons have been my go-to shoes for several years. I hope that someone at the company is addressing the design problem with the Go Walk 4 and will bring back the wider toe area for comfort and proper fit.

Cons:
1. Durability. I've had mine for about a year, and there are multiple spots on them where the top fabric is fraying, creating holes at my pinky toe and big toe. Additionally, the way the heel is constructed means they are very easy to squish with your foot - no stepping into these. The right shoe's heel is almost completely torn apart inside.
2. Squeaks. Yes, squeaks. These shoes are SQUEAKY as all get-out on certain hard floors. Something about the way the bottoms are built, I guess. For me, those floors include the elevator lobby of my apartment and every hallway in my office. It's not every floor, but the floors it does happen on it happens _consistently_. After a year this has become a legitimate enough annoyance that I'll be checking for the issue on my next shoes during the return window.
3. Smell. I have a suspicion that the thin, somewhat breathable material of the shoes does a worse job of containing foot odor than a more solid material.
